About Ordering the Victoria Lions Club Calendar

Rewards for Calendar Sellers and Buyers

Calendar Buyers

On each calendar there will be information about how a person can enter his or her name to win a trip for two to NL during 2005. To enter, a person must mail his or her name, with full address and phone number to the post office address on the calendar. If his ro her name is drawn and a time limited, skill-testing question is answered correctly, the person will receive two airline tickets donated by CanJet. Only one entry per person is allowed for this program.

Calendar Sellers

Each of the twelve calendar months has information about five B and B's or Motels displayed. Each of these has donated one night's accommodations for two with breakfast for a draw to reward Lions Club members selling the calendars. The sponsoring hotels, motels, cabins and B&Bs are in desirable destinations within the province and include B&Bs which have been given 4 and 4 1/2 star ratings by Canada Select. For each 100 calendars a Lions Club buys, its name will be entered for a draw of five nights accommodations in NL during 2005. The clubs that have their names drawn can give the accommodations to any Lions member that they choose. A maximum of 12 x 5 night stays available to be awarded. Only one accommodations prize per Lions club. Some restrictions do apply to availability.

The N.J. Downey Photography and Custom Framing Gallery has given permission to use nine of their prints which will include works by Ian Sparkes (who is well know for his paintings of Harbour Grace) and five other artists. Local artist Peter Sampson of Carbonear has also donated the use of three of his prints. The calendar will be 11" wide by 17" high. (See illustration of the January 2005 sample page at right.)

Click here for the January 2005 sample page of the calendar as a PDF. (The calendar will print as 8.5x11; however, the actual calendar is 11x17. The quality of the graphics is also lower, since it is just a sample.)
